Yes, but they are *trying* to be somewhat innovative too. As a Yahoo Search employee blogged theya re testing new features such as search shortcuts where you can enter a "!" after the search term and be directed directly to the site.
I'll have to dig up the blog; they've got some interesting (and some blatant copies of ideas) too.

So it just takes you to other parts of Yahoo's site? So instead of clicking on the Mail icon at the top of the menu, I now type in 'mail!' instead? Doesn't seem much of a shortcut. =)
