Export from SQL server to Oracle on WinXP
Hi, I'm trying to export data from SQL server to Oracle on WindowsXP Pro.

I used the export wizard in SQL server. I was successful until the last step. All operations returned error message saying "[ORACLE][ODBC]....user 'testadmin' does not exist"

Can anybody help?

FYI: I was able to connect to Oracle through system data source test and SQL*Plus client using the same user name ('testadmin').

Thanks in advance.

I believe that there is a limit to number of rows that can be imported into Oracle 8i during one operation (transformation). You might consider exporting data from the SQL Server table in increments of 100,000.

Also, try using the DTS Wizard, since I've had more success than using the table export wizard in the tables screen.
