Online mySQl database from Excel?
Hi there,
Im a newbie and needed some help. Here's what I want to do. I have an Excel file (with multiple worksheets in it) that gets constantly updated by someone else. I need to create a webpage from which I can query that data. Any suggestions on what's the best way to do this?
What I've tried so far is to convert it to an Access database then use it from a webpage (but I've had no success. And besides, I cannot periodically update the Access database from the Excel file....or can I?)
I have also tried saving it to a text file and then using mySQL to load that info, then using PHP to query the database. But as I said, I need to KEEP updating the database, because the Excel file gets modified ever so often. How do I do something like that? And remember, the Excel file has about 6 worksheets in it.
If anyone can help, I would be EXTREMELY grateful!!
