For those of you that are in the US (unlike myself) I thought you would be interested to read about the ongoing battle between the Goliath Telecom Companies and groups like http://www.savetheinternet.com/.
I would say, in simple terms Net Neutrality bills aim to stop the enormous telecom companies from deciding what you can access.
