I need help finding a good chat script to run locally on my server. I'm looking for ease of use and reliability. In addition, if I end up using a 3rd party provider's applet-based program, I'd like to stay out of their directory listing to prevent foul vagrants from posting bad language. Please advise.

Didn't you read the documentation in the site? We cannot do research for you.

Also...I visited that site and I tested the chatroom, which ended up crashing my browser and computer...Nice graphical presentation, but in terms of functionality...it may have some flaws.

Yes, I read the documentation on the site. Of course, since we webmasters tend to delve deeper into products, I figured that I'd find more useful and insightful information from the experienced and unbiased sources here.

I never had my browser crashed by it. The server is really good, they have like 5 different types, including community which holds like 1000+ users, and the setup is nice. And the config screen is helpful b/c its gui. Theres another one
www.webmaster.com(good url) Conference Room. They are kinda nice, but everytime i tried to use their server it crashed my system.
