If you do the custom install of Red Hat Linux 5.2, you can choose what RPM's (software packages) that you want installed. The Red Hat install will automatically install Perl, Apache, and Netscape, X Windows, and just about everything else you'll need. Unless you're installing from an FTP server, I would suggest visiting Red Hat and getting your hotfixes and updates as well.
