okay, with the danger of giving away one of my best ideas, i need a help for this, any
solution will also give all of you an exiting
mod to offer for your customers. there is a
great java applet named feeder which allows
to operate an news-ticker on your website, feeding the data from a database, it allows
actually live feeds, all you need is an cgi-
script that would read the additions to your
directory into a simple two line database in any given intervalls which would than
appear
on the ticker, you can also run news and advertisments, and give away the code to
your
linkpartners. the applet is charity-ware, whats needed is a spidermod that reads
headlines and urls from your whats new section and adds them to a textfile,
periodically, or it writes them with any addition to links automatically. the link
