The most secure way is .htaccess. The best thing to do is contact your ISP. Setting up .htaccess is different based on what web server you have your account located on. Also versions of web servers differ in terms of setting up .htaccess. Your best bet to ensure accuracy is to contact your Internet Service Provider!
