I'm interested in creating a semi-classifieds site for college students to sell/swap/buy books.
I'd like to use Links SQL as the backend for this.
But also, I'd like to integrate some type of metasearch into the program. There are many other college book swap sites out there. I'd like to search these sites and return the results alongside my directory's own listings.
I would need an easy way to add or remove sites to be searched, and update the parameters as needed to define the different aspects of the results on their sites. Also, it would be nice if it could pull from XML feeds to ( such as Amazon's).
These results would not be mixed with my directory's results, but shown below mine.
Any thoughts, concerns? Is this doable?
Could anyone ballpark a price to have this done?
Thanks!
Robert
