I was able to access your test database using:

http://www.trofi.com/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/trofi/dbman/db.cgi

so I'm assuming you have this working now?

If not, the following line should match the path you have above:

$db_dir_url = "http://www.trofi.com/cgi-bin/dbman";

such as:

$db_dir_url = "http://www.trofi.com/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/trofi/dbman";

Hope this helps

Thanks, Lois. It is working now. I don't know what the problem was, but I hired Tony at DotMatix.com and he took care of it in a few minutes for 20 bucks. Now _all_ I have to do is adapt it for my own needs. :-)
