.cgi files do not run - they just show text file
I tried setting up the sample bdman database using the tutorial at JPDeni's, but when I browse to it to test, the cgi does not run and it just diplays the text of db.cgi

Take a look here: www.templelibrary.net/cgi-bin/dbman/db.cgi

My host says that they support perl from Activesite, and they said just to put the files anywhere (I made the cgi-bin directory). This is on a WinNT server.

I am very new to perl, hope this info helps! Thanks for your help!

Hello Barbara, you'll need to go back to your host provider and ask them what the path to perl is on your account. The path you have listed (you actually have a url listed, not a path) is incorrect.
#!http://www.activestate.com/perl

Ask them what path should be used in your scripts.

I asked them again, here is what they said:

"We run NT Perl. It is the Microsoft NT server version of Perl. It does not require a path."

:( Help!
