I keep getting this message
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@equineempire.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Make sure that you upload your files in ASCII mod. The 404 means there is a file missing that the script needs.

Did you create your /auth directory and upload the index file?

Also be sure the path to perl is set on the first line of your db.cgi file.

Hope this helps.

I've uploaded the files in ASCII mod & I've uploaded ALL of the files. I'm totally new to this. If this what I'm supposed to put /usr/bin/perl ? Do i change usr to my name or leave it alone?

anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Oh... you're in trouble!

Ha ha, just kidding... Have you checked your permissions of the files? Make sure they are set as follows:

db.cgi (755) -rwxr-xr-x
html.pl (644) -rw-r--r--
auth.pl (644) -rw-r--r--
default.cfg (644) -rw-r--r--
default.pass (666) -rw-rw-rw-
default.count (666) -rw-rw-rw-
default.log (666) -rw-rw-rw-
default.db (666) -rw-rw-rw
auth (777) drwxrwxrwx

r=read; w=write; x=execute

Make sure the directory/folder has permissions of 755 (read/write/exe - read/exe - read/exe)

Also - this line is wrong:
$db_dir_url = " http://www.equineempire.com/cgi-bin/dbman";

take the extra spaces out:
$db_dir_url = "http://www.equineempire.com/cgi-bin/dbman";

leave the "usr" alone it is okay like it is...

It still isn't working. I've set the permissions right and I've taken out the extra spaces. I guess I'm too much of an idiot to figure this out.

What type of server is your host provider using? Unix or windows ... that would make a big difference.

Be sure you have the correct path to perl. Your host provider should supply you with this information. Who is your host provider? some have had problems with certain host providers.

Don't get frustrated this script is really easy to work with once you get it up and running.

If you want send me a private message with your FTP information and I'll try and help you get this working.
