500 again
I am trying to get dbman running and i am beyond making any sense of my redundant 500 error. Ive just started using PERl so im not familiar, although i am ok with java and vb. This file does what i need and its for a government server. (Navy) but i couldnt get it to work on thier server with perl v? ...soooooooo I set up my own server with win98 web server (which im new to also.) and activeperl 5.6. I figured this should work but I still get the 500 error. If you have time could you look please. My web site is http://24.40.35.254 and all files are in the cgi-bin for running (database link starts db.cgi) also Ive copied them to the root which has read priv so if you type http://24.40.35.254/db.cgi for instance you can see my file..its the default database, (gotta walk before I run) Please help. I need this bad..please help :)

In db.cgi, you need to set $db_script_path to the full path of DBMan on your filesystem, not the web as you currently have it.

So instead of http://24.40.35.254/cgi-bin, try c:\inetpub\cgi-bin\dbman (or wherever DBMan is...)

Good luck!

There have been a number of discussions on this topic on both this and the DBMan Customization threads.

Try searching the forums for "windows" or "pws", see what you turn up. You might be able to get some more ideas from previous threads.

I know I had a hard time getting scripts to work on my Windows PWS, and to be honest, DBMan was one I never actually got working (though it is possible).
