I have just set up the database, login form can be accessed but no matter what user id and password I typed in, it always give the
invalid username/password error! The user id and passwords as specified in default.pass are:

admin:A.f0Kvdiyy8q2:1:1:1:1:1
author:zs047RckAhJH6:1:1:1:1:0
guest:ZX9XTlIfPvdGE:1:0:0:0:0
qjs:qjs:1:1:1:1:1

Why can't I log in? Thank you for your time.

Do you mean you as Admin can login but the userids cannot login????

If so, then you have not set-up the authentication section of your default.cfg file correctly.

Please save your default.cfg file as a text file (like default.txt), then upload it to a publicly accessible directory, then post the URL where we can see the file..so that we can see the file!

Hi! If you check out the DBman-ual page

it says what to do for this problem in the "install the demo" tutorial. I'd check it out anyway, it's helping me set up my stuff!

Thanks to all who replied, I found out where the problem was.
What I meant in my qn was that I (as admin)could'nt log in using passwords in the pass file. I then logged in as
db.cgi?db=default&uid=default
then added my own username and password.
Only then could in login. Silly me.
