Cant get authentication to work on HP-UX!

Cant get authentication to work on HP-UX!
Using Apache 1.1.3, latest perl version. Problem is that when i turn authentication on, all i get is the "home" and "log off" links in the bottom. It doesnt give me ANY login/password prompt.

I had this problem with IBM os2's xitami server, but i dont know if this is a similar problem or not.

What's the suggestion? I've tried reinstalling dbman as STOCK (ie, none of my modifications) and no luck.

Thanks for any help guys,

In order to login, you have to access the login screen with the following URL:

www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/dbman/db.cgi

Hi Vinnie:

You cannot just turn on the authentication. There are some other authorization options you must set. What happens is that you turn on authentication but you did not specify anything else and therefore when you login you do not have permissions to do anything at all, not view, nor delete and etc.

What you have to do is to configure the authentication in default.cfg properly and it should work.

Please also read the README.txt for information on configuring permissions/authentication.
