I finally got the demo to appear. I realize 1) i need my db.cgi script to appear in the cgi-bin directory or it just wont work. 2)that I have to define the entire path of the $db_script in the db.cgi file. However, now I am getting an error as soon as I enter in the admin/admin user/password screens.

the error message i get is pretty useless. How can I figure out what to do from here?

Please copy your db.cgi and default.cfg files as text files, upload the text files to a publicly accessible directory, and then post the URL where we can access the files.

Your files seem to be configured correctly. The Error message indicates that you have a permission problem with your files. Please double check your file permissions and refer to the README file for more details.

If you set the configuration for
$db_debug = 0;

to

$db_debug = 1;

it may give you more of an idea of what is wrong. Once you get everything working you can then reset it to not debug the script.




You might also want to change your config file setting of:

$auth_logoff = "http://www.gossamer-threads.com/scripts/dbman/";

to your own homepage.
