Crypt() error in Xitami Server/Win98
When login, the crypt() error comes out. I had search thru all previous posting and resources... Can someone solve this problem?

I get this from resourses DBMan Faq:
-----
A. Unfortunately crypt(), the perl routine that checks passwords, does not work on the binary version of Perl. You have a couple of options:
Use Activestate's port of perl available at http://www.activestate.com/.
Do not use authentication, or use server based authentication.
Compile perl from the source (not recommended) using a c compiler.

What is actually 'port of perl'? How can others seems to have it running well by using a binary version of Perl?

Please help.

If I'm not wrong, you have to install activeperl in order to use the crypt command. I'm using Xitami server and activeperl on a win98.

I am great to listen that there is case that Xitami works fine on a Win98 Platform. Hurray.

Can you tell me your URL to the db.cgi, I would like to take a look, thanks.

You need to download ActivePerl from http://www.activestate.com and then install the Perl package in C:\perl folder.
