DBMAN for archaeologists
hello / Bonjour,
I install DBMAN for archaeologists in french Universities (like Bordeaux, Toulouse).
They have not problem to use DBMAN. But to re-install...it's very difficult for them.

Someone have create a configurator or installer for DBMAN ???

JPDeni has a great tutorial and configurator available on her site at:

http://www.jpdeni.com/dbman/

This will not install DBMan, but the configurator will help to setup your fields and permissions.

Hope this helps

Is this why you wrote to me asking if you could have the script? You didn't say that you wanted to translate it.

I really don't know how to deal with this. All of the text is within the script and I didn't write it for anyone else to look at, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to translate it. It would have to be done by someone who was very familiar with both English and Perl, as well as French.

I also do not want a lot of copies of the Configurator floating around the web. As I said in my email to you, I do make changes in it from time to time and I would rather not have to make the change to a number of files all over the world. (For, if I give it to you, when someone else wants to translate it into another language, I would not be able to say no to them.)

It would take a lot of work for me to get the Configurator ready for you to translate.
