Error: No search terms specified
After a largely successful installation, I am getting the error message "search failed, no search terms specified" when I attempt to search in several of my form fields.

The search works correctly when I search in the ID field, and when I use the Keyword search function.

I have checked to see that the field names listed in the html.pl file match those in the default.cfg file.

I have modified the html.pl file -- Any ideas where I might look for an error?

Thanks,
John

When you stated that you checked to be sure all the fields listed in your .cfg file matched within your html.pl file and then stated you modified your html.pl does this mean you were missing some of the fields?

If so, your database might not match up correctly with your form. Try starting over with a new database and see if the error still exists.

Or check over your datbase to be sure all the fields are there and with the proper data. An easy way to check your database is to bring it into Excel and check that all fields are in their proper place.

If this is not the problem, please post the url of your database so it can be viewed.

Hope this helps

My modifications of the html.pl file have largely been to change the look of the query form and the results form.

There are only four fields in the database (ID,State,Town,Business). All are present in the database file.

The url for the database is:

I'm unable to view your page within Netscape. You may want to check your HTML coding to be sure you don't have some missing table tags.
