I have just installed it on my Virtual Server which runs Unix (OpenBSD in particular) and the Apache Web server. Anyway, I just wanted to run the default database from a browser but got the following:

Error Message: Error loading required libraries.
Check that they exist, permissions are set correctly and that they compile.
Reason: (Maybe you didn't strip carriage returns after a network transfer?)

Upload your files in ASCII mode.

I edit everything, using Pico, right on the Web server. The only time I did any uploading was to upload the dbman zip file.

Is there anything else that could cause this problem?

Hi Neila:

Did you upload the zip file using ASCII mode or binary mode? You should have uploaded the zip file in binary mode. If you have uploaded the zip file in ASCII mode then you will have a problem.

I ended up deleting the uziped files and then uploading the tar version. I extracted it and everything works fine. Thanks.
