Okay JP, I think were back to the hidden field problem of adding the ID automatically. I add 1 record it gives me no ID But on the second adding of a record I get an ID albiet it starts at "1". If I edit the database by hand to correct the problem I screw up everything. Any clues? also If I delete the NO ID record the next in line becomes no ID and in the delete message I get gibberish that the "<hidden field ...." was deleted but not "record 1" was deleted.

I'll have to try to get back to you on this. It's really a trial-an-error sort of debugging problem and I'm having one of those myself right now.
