Internal Server Error
I am trying to test default database, but keep on getting E500 internal server errors. I have uploaded in ASCII, changed and checked the perl path and set all permissions as recommended. I still get the same error message. I have also tried changing the $db_script_path to actual path with no result.

My ISP tech support performed a debug test and came up with the error message saved in
www.new-dimensions.u-net/com/debug_output.txt. He felt these were causing the errors.

Other scripts loaded to the same bin in the same way work. Please help.

I have saved default.cfg and db.cgi as default_cfg.txt and db_cgi.txt at the above address. The address for the db script is
http://cgi.www.demon.net/cgi-bin/www.alliedsurveyors.plc.uk/db.cgi

The url for the text files is
http://www.new-dimensions.u-net.com/db_cgi.txt; http://www.new-dimensions.u-net.com/default_cfg.txt; http://www.new-dimensions.u-net.com/debug_output.txt

The url for the db script which shows the error is http://cgi.www.demon.net/cgi-bin/www.alliedsurveyors.plc.uk/db.cgi

hope this helps

Hi there,

1. Are you sure the path to perl is !#bin/perl
2. # URL of the directory dbman resides in. No Trailing Slash Please.
$db_dir_url = "http://cgi.www.demon.net/cgi-bin/www.alliedsurveyors.plc.uk";

If you email me your ftp details then i will go and have a look and let you know where your paths should be going mailto:mail@isee-multimedia.co.uk

This path is incorect this has to be the path the the place where db.cgi resides. the path should probably be something like this http://www.alliedsurveyors.plc.uk/cgi-bin
3.
