Newby with some questions [;)]
I have just started working with DBMan and these scripts. I am excited.. but overwhelmed.
Here is the problem I am having. I finally got to a login page, I can't login using admin, guest or author, but I followed JPDeni's very helpful list and did the default ID. http://www.logicmaze.com/...ault&uid=default So I get to the main menu page and try to add, modify or delete records and it will not let me. I can view records, though. If I get to the delete page http://www.logicmaze.com/...p;delete_form=Search and check a record to delete and hit the Delete Checked Records button, it sends me back to: http://www.logicmaze.com/~tamara/dbase/db.cgi

I will continue to figure this out, but if someone that is familiar with this program can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful.
Thanks,
TamaJama

wohoo, strange ...

OK, check to see if your default.pass file isn't fried.

did you add any modifications?

alsoo you might wanna post your files and urls section from defualt.cfg in case if anything is a bit out of whack.

good luck

Hi! I was just wondering. The lins that you gave seem to point out that you log in as default user. Unless you change the default permissions in the db.cfg file to allow default user to add, delete and modify you can't do anything but view. Just my view, maybe wrong or have misread your post. Hope this helps.

It looks like you made several changes. You removed the option to sign up for an account- but I tried to create one by typing in the URL- but it would not allow it. So evidently you have made some changes in the config file.

Did it work before you made any changes? I would go back and do a clean install just to make sure the unmodified script worked like it should - I'm assuming it never worked properly.
