Unable to login on FreeBSD 3.5
I set up this dbman 2.05 on my local installation of linux-mandrake 7.1 deluxe..... It worked fine.....
Now when I put it on my shell, running FreeBSD 3.5-Stable, I am unable to login, saying "Invalid user/password".....
Is freebsd's crypt functions different from linux? What's wrong here?

The problem is probably associated to different versions of Perl that is installed between the two servers. Check the Perl versions of your local machine and also your virtual account.

Encryption in DBMAN is controlled by Perl, not operating system or platform based.

Thanks, but I since I posted that, I successfully managed to hack my way around it..... ;)

By erasing my user record from the .pass file, temporarily enabling signup and giving signed-up users all permissions, I simply signed up as a new user..... And then of course, I disabled the signup process and set the signup permissions back to 1,0,0,0,0.....
