I am trying to install the default DBMan on virtualave... After copying all of the required files, setting the right permissions and changing the path in db.cgi, I still can't get it to work. I get an error message: "Can't open perl script : No such file or directory". Can someone help?

There has only been a few rare cases of having to change the path within the db.cgi file. Please change this back to the original setting.
Also check that your path to perl is correct in your script. Such as:
#!/usr/local/bin/perl

Lois,
The error he described is not caused by the wrong path to perl.

Hi I it is no problem to get it to work at virtualave.
You need the path in the db.cgi
and the url in the default.cfg
from Astroboy I got the following tip:
"If you're still having problems, try adding the line $db_debug = 1; underneath the path variable in db.pl."
That works really cool!
Great Script, my lecturer will be happy!
Cheers,
Dietmar
