This error keeps occuring when trying to run db.cgi. This is a new installation on a MacOSX server. As this is the first db.cgi that I have installed, I will take any pointers as to the problem.

Oh, it could be a lot of different things. I have no experience with a Mac, but let's see if we can work it out.
My best suggestion is to work through the tutorial which starts at http://www.jpdeni.com/dbman/tutorial.html. All my best info is there.
If you run into problems at any step of the way, just holler.
