can't get to login, tries to download db.cgi
Well, thanks to you JPDeni's thoughtful answers I was able to: "understand" the theory behind DBMan, upload all the files and change the permissions! Thanks <golf clap for JPDeni>

The problem now is that when I go to my browswer after uploading the DEMO (IE or NS) it tries to download something? No login or anything? Following is the message I got when I downloaded and saved:

CGI ERROR
==========================================
Error Message : unable to open directory in auth_cleanup: ./auth. Reason: No such file or directory
Script Location : db.cgi
Perl Version : 5.00502

Thank you. Smile

What sort of system are you running it on? If you're on a Win95/98 or NT (I think), try changing the name of db.cgi to db.pl. Be sure to change the name of the file in your .cfg file, too.

Well, my SysAdmin says it's a Unix system so it's not Windows.

The URL is www.bestweb.net/~cyborgny/tob/cgi-bin/dbman/db.cgi

Any help would be greatly appreicated -- I'm so close!
