do not display blank fields?
Is there an easy way to avoid displaying fields of the record when viewed if they had been left blank when record was created?

Hi falkon,

Yes, you just have to put an if condition...

if ($rec{XXX} =~ /^\s*$/) {...}

This checks for nulls or white spaces.

Hi kwli

You might want to look at the thread started by nautis (Link with Amazon.com)

JPD shows you how to do it there.

:-D Thank you!

I figure since I run a non-profit site and Alex has been kind enough to let us "non-profit" folks use DBMan for free, the least I can do is answer some of the simpler questions for him and let the folks who really know what they're doing answer the biggies.

You really made my day! Smile
