Hello,

I am really struggling with mod and would appreciate any help.

I followed all the instructions to install on a virgin script of Links2. Then I proceed to make all the adjustments for DBman in order to have ABC search.

When I go to build I get an error from nph build.

And when I try to run to DB man I get this error.

DBMan encountered an internal error. Please enable debugging to view.

I believe that's a question for the DBMAN Installation Forum, isn't it?

In default.cfg set the following variable to 1: Then check the error message it returns.

It just stops there.

It seems I have misunderstood you. In your first posting you said you are using DBMan to generate alphabetical links. So which mod are you using?

You are correct. I am using DBman (at least I am trying too). I followed the mod according and still have problems after building...

If you have access to Telnet, type in the following command in order to debug your script:
Other than that, check and re-check your paths and permissions. And take a look at the DBMan Installation Forum.

The dynamic category pages mod I'm working on will also allow you to display ABC links. Also can be altered to display the ABC links inside each category if required.

It'll just involve using one cgi file, making a new template and adding a sub to site_html_templates.pl.

Well maybe it is because you mentioned DBMAN about 5 times.

I understand what you mean. I had somewhat of a struggle with that mod. I am willing to help you out as best I can. I am no perl expert. But I did get that mod working. I can email you my notes. Just sent me a private message and I will do the best I can. There has been a few people that have helped me out when I could not get it. Even if it was minor error. They still took the time to answer.
