Ok sorry for being gone so long. I've had job issues over the past two weeks that have taken up my time. Ok what mods do the most experienced of all of us here recommend?

Probably one of the most useful mod would be to make a change to allowable characters in the category names. The nonenglish mod does this, but is very cumbersome, and has its own problems. I found this, have not tried it, but it looks good:
