.htaccess for admin.cgi
Hello,

I finally got the script running like clock work. Would appreciate some help on password protecting admin.cgi

I haven't the slighest idea how t telnet and set htaccess. Itried telneting, recieve an option screen, but cannot type in any commands. I think my server is making it hard for all. I don't know.

Is there an easier way to password protect the admin.cgi Couldn't I just use another password script to protect the file?

All help is appreciated

I went and took a look. You are right, it looks sharp. I did find a problem though. When viewed with Netscape v3.04, I found a bunch of broken graphic symbols at the bottom of the home page (dot.jpg maybe?). They do not show up in Netscape v4.05 though, although it takes a relatively long time for NN4 to finish loading the pages.

Broken graphic symbols huh?

I looked again in IE 4 and Netscape 4.06 and can't see it.

You can always try the Gossamer Threads FileMan script. After it is installed, you can create .htaccess/.htpasswd files to your heart's content. It really is a nice script!

Thank you Bobsie,

I will do that. Hopefully I have an easier time with this one.

Go see my links script, it's pretty good.
