Building *.shtml pages
Hi,

I came across a strange error. In links.cfg i ste the name of an index page to "index.shtml" and it works fine; all my pages are named that way. Except for the new/date pages.
The what's new page is ok, but the pages that show the new links by date are still built "index.htm"

Any idea?
Thank you

If this is links v1.1, go to nph-build.cgi and under sub build_new_page, change all occurances of $date.htm to $date.shtml.

If this is the beta, change all occurances of $date.htm to $date$build_extension and make sure $build_extension is set to ".shtml" in links.cfg.

(I got it right this time, Alex! Wink)

Hi,

Thank you.

Can anyone tell me if links beta is "good" enough to start using or does it have many bugs left?

Thank you

There are some bugs in the currently released version. Browse through the Beta forum and see what has been reported and/or solved.

A new "full Beta" with bug fixes is supposed to be released shortly. I would wait for that to save yourself a lot of work.
