Jump.cgi - Please help
Hello,
I have spent the whole night trying to get links working. I keep getting the error that "Error: Can't find link id: 3" or
"Error: Can't find link id: 4"

This depends on which link I click on

Why is this? It seems to write to a flat files. Could somebody please help. Here are a few URLs

http://www.flightlines.com/airlinks/database/
http://www.flightlines.com/airlinks/cgi-bin/admin/admin.cgi
http://www.flightlines.com/airlinks/cgi-bin/admin/data

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, I am really stuck.

Regards
David

I don't know if this has any bearing on it or not, but when I tried to "Build All", I got this error message:

Quote:
Backing up database . . .
Backing up links, category and email database (File::Copy) ...

CGI ERROR
==========================================
Error Message : Unable to copy links backup. Reason: Permission denied
Script Location : /data1/hypermart.net/morane/airlinks/cgi-bin/admin/nph-build.cgi
Perl Version : 5.00404

So, I went and looked and, sure enough, you do not have an admin/backup directory so the pages are not building (although you have some built already).

Create an admin/backup directory and chmod it to 777. Rebuild the pages after it is done and then try to use the links again. I don't see how this would stop jump.cgi from working correctly, but when in doubt, try the impossible and improbable (my motto).
