Moving Links...

Moving Links...
I just downloaded both DBman and Links last night (well tonight, haven't gone to bed yet...), and I want to know something.

I'm planning on switching servers in about two months - getting my own domain name and all... will it be hard to move the Links Files? Has anyone done it? Should I wait to build until I move?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It is not difficult at all. All you need to do is just change the paths and url's in links.cfg. I use localhost on my Win95 system with Apache and ActivePerl for testing and development. When I have everything the way I want, I put it on a UNIX server (different paths and url's) and have no problems at all doing that.

Thanks a bunch.

I was wondering...Will I have to carry all the files that it creates with me, or can I just take the databases and then have it build from those?

Just carry along the scripts, template files, and data directories. The pages will be rebuilt on the new site.
