Im not sure where to post this, however, this looked to be the best place for it. I received word from a friend at Hypermart that Go2Net considers LINKS a FFA link program. I fussed and fussed about this, knowing it does NOT describe a LINKS type script in the TOS:


Now, to me, LINKS is not automated like the above description. I'm curious as to what you guys think about this? Any comments appreciated.

I posted this because I know alot of LINKS users are on Hypermart, so GOOD LUCK!

I think the "and is submitted to by automated programs" disqualifies Links. Unless you sign up with some link subscription program you should be fine.

I've never heard of Hypermart kicking off a user for running Links, or disabling Links.

But that means that HyperMart is violating their own TOS. Because in their FAQ section it recomends using perlsearch.hypermart.net which is a search engine. So I think by linking to a site that has a search engine that means hypermart is saying it's ok.

As of current, this issue is up in the air, but right now Gossamer-Thread's Links IS allowed.
