I installed fileman on a free web hosting server and everything went well. I put the private and images directory outside cgi-bin. I got the installation completed / succesful message afterwards. When I run the fileman.cgi, it did ask me of a username and password but all I got is a blank page with the host's banner on top. what did i do wrong?? thanks.

Hi Harold,

Your free hosting will always add some HTML code at top/bottom of every pages automatically, so Fileman won't work unless you get rid of it.
