Apparently when using cgiwrap the .htaccess file is ignored. I found this from here in November:

"(catch 22 here though, you can't password protect scripts which run under cgiwrap. We will be releasing a single version of the script with built in password controls shortly to fix that)."

So is this going to happen any time soon? Is there any other workaround?

Hi Craig,

You can get the multi user version which has password protection built in. Alternatively, if you have access, you can password protect the directory cgi-wrap resides in.
