I am from Switzerland and since today a user from our fileman.

I can need fileman very well, but I don't understand all commands.

Is there a documentation of them?



And the other, I had downloaded the translated file from fileman (from resources: fileman_ger.cgi).

But it didn't work, is it for an older version? (there is no version-information)

Hi,

No, we don't have any documenation yet I'm afraid.

The German version is for FileMan 1.x and is completely different from FileMan 2.

The most command do I understand.

But can you me explain the function PROTECT ?

Goes it only, when I before had created a .htaccess-file?

And what means Tail, Perl and Diff?

Hi,

'Protect' - this will create a .htaccess/.htpasswd files which will password protect a directory on Apache web servers.

'Tail' - this will display the last 25 lines of a file. Useful for viewing your webservers log files.

'Diff' - this will show you the differences between two files.

'Perl' - this will tell you if there are any perl syntax errors in a perl file.

Wie ich gelesen habe bist du Schweizer. Ich setzte das Fileman.cgi auch auf meiner HP ein. Jedoch habe ich ein paar Probleme. Vielleicht kannst Du mir ja weiter helfen.

1. Es werde keine Images (also Bilder angezeigt) Woran liegt das? So sieht mein configdata.pm File aus:

2. Kann ich keine Filkes mehr löschen. Es kommt immer ein Run Time Error.

Zu Punkt 1: Vermutlich ist der Pfad oder die URL zu den Bildern falsch.
Das kannst du am besten testen, in dem du auf den Platzhalter der Grafik klickst, und die Eigenschaften aufrufst. Dort solltest Du dann den Pfad /URL der Grafik sehen. (unter Windows)

Zu Punkt 2: Aus dem Config-file kann ich leider nicht feststellen, wo der bug liegt.
Versuch es doch einmal mit einer Neuinstallation des filemans (vorher alles von fileman löschen).

Woran es liegen könnte: im Private-Ordner könnte es noch Scripte haben, die ebenfalls im cgi-Verzeichniss sein müssen! Ich habe sie so installiert, wie vorgeschlagen (.../cgi-bin/fileman/private).
