hi, we use fileman (free version 2.0.3) for our gaming clan's website and we're starting to add some guys who also want to help contribute to the website. but, we want to restrict their access from a couple of folders.

does this mean we have to purchase the retail version or is there a way to do this?

There is not way to do this in single version, you should use multiple user version which allows you to set access for each users. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Does that version do all access by directory level or can you set file level security too?

Bummer, it's $150. hrmm.... will have to evaluate the cost and get the bro's to chip in.
