Hey:
Got a note from a user, newly signed up. When he got his validation e-mail and followed the link, it took him to a porno site, even though the link was OBVIOUSLY to my site.
My first thought was HACKERS... but I put that to rest quickly. While I would not say that I am hack-proof, it sure would be hard... I have a VERY nasty firewall, and some other cool protections. So anyway, I followed the code from community.cgi to Community/web/Uers.pm and ended up finding the porno link was stored in the Comm Users table in comm_email_redir which is where Comm stores where to send someone based on where they were when they signed up.
So I know the problem is NOT in Comm, probably some bug on his end... I am just curious if anyone has seen this sort of thing, or has any idea why/how it happened... I mean, Comm should have stored a local (to my site) url... and even if this guy did just come in from a Porno site, that shouldn't be stored by GTComm, right?
Thaniks!
