Okay, is it just me, or is everyone else seeing this and not thinking this is an issue?

I use Community with Links SQL and Forum. When a new user submits a registration, the software seems to create the accounts, then sends the validation. If the user validates, the user has access, but what happens if the user doesn't validate?

Links SQL contains a mail list feature. The method presently used by Community allows a person to be added to the mailing list without being validated. If the address was bad, the bad address appears as part of the user's record in Links SQL.

Wouldn't it make more sense to create the accounts when the registration is approved?
