Hi,

I just made a test template named
user_test.html and after saving it was named user_test.html ^

I tried calling it with:
/community.cgi?do=user_test and
/community.cgi?do=user_test.html

both calls didnt work

how would I be able to view the new template?

There is no such custom template allowed in GComm v1.0.2.

In Community::Web::User::process there is a list of allowed valid pages. Check them.
Invalid pages are replaced by user_home.

They are also mapped to user_* functions, so what you want is not possible, at that point,
as much as I know.


Personally, I would welcome the idea to allow custom page templates as you tried, using:
community.cgi?do=user_test
or
community.cgi?do=user_test.html


As I remember, I already suggested this earlier, but no response yet.
