I am a Stanford undergrad administrating JGUIDE, which is a database of Japan-related links @ http://fuji.stanford.edu/jguide. When several hundred link requests are made, the numbering resets, which results in multiple links in the databases having the same number !! Why does the numbering reset to 1? Is there a max num of link requests? If anyone can help, I would be very grateful !! Thanks, Tiffany

Tiffany,
I assume JGuide is using Links 2.0. What do you mean by "several hundred link requests"? Are you refering to link submissions that need to be validated?
Most probably your linksid.txt file does not reflect the highest record number in your links.db. You will have to manually edit these numbers in links.db and validate.db.
