I saw a post a while back that was about problems loging in. The problem was that no
logon box appeared. Now I have the same problem, When I first installed the demo there was no logon so I had to change the Authorization Options, to disable the logon.
I saw from the last post about this problem some one through that it was a problem with the html.pl file but as you can see it does not look like that as right from the very start it was not working ?.
Any ideas ?? is there any tracing that i can do apart from the debug option ? am I doing some thing very silly ??
Apart from this problem the database works fine.
just be for you ask the webserver is not connected to the internet so you will not be able to have a look at it, also it runs under NT rather then unix so it should not be the permissions

I have just read a new post by Ross Lazarus
and he has said that xitami is returning a dash ("-") as the "remote_user" in the cgi environment, I made the change he said and now it works ok so thank you Ross.
