I'm trying to get dbman to read an existing file (ported from another application) and though I can easily add records to the file, and even get 'View All' to work, no matter what I type into whatever field I'm searching on produces no records found.
The file is huge with hundreds of records. Each record is divided into 6 fields. I thought the problem might be a tilde (~) in some fields, so I replaced that with a hyphen. I also thought that the double quotation marks in some fields might cause a problem and replaced them as well. The fields are delimited from one another using the '|' character.
I've installed and run dbman probably a dozen times and never seen anything like this. Anyone have any idea what might be happening?
Thanks very much!
