I will be making a database with 2000 records. I just need to know, will it be really slow.?

Depends on a lot of factors:

1. How big is each record (i.e. how big is the total database in kilobytes).
2. How powerful is the server.
3. How busy/how many other users are using the server.

If your database is under 1 MB, I'd say you'll get good performance. Your best bet is to give it a try!
