Most of you guys are using these Mods on Sites to help you make Money.
Yet you are trying to SHAFT the guys who are making the MODS.
Now, that is unfair. No one is shafting anyone.
And as for 'making money'... There is an old chinese proverb that says "never count what is in my pocket." It goes hand-in-hand with walking a day in another's shoes.
Code goes much further when it's free. Someone who is trying to do something, and can't afford it can use it, and you'd be suprised how many people pay for things above what it 'costs' because of the time it's saved.
As always, the market decides --- but how many of you have found a good program, only to find it's website gone. No more support, no more access.. and because it was not a 'free' program, legally it can't be used, and the code re-distributed -- and all you needed was a tweak??
There are a dozen or more programs I'd be using, or would have used, but I needed one more change to the code. Most of the changes were trivial... but not possible.
SO much code has gone to waste over the years.
Anyway. This discussion has wandered from modifications to economics.
