I just got a new server today (not a cobalt RAQ) and I am having some problems. I uploaded everything, chmod'd all correctly, but when I go to login as admin, I get the following:Error including libraries: Can't locate /var/www/cgi-bin/links/admin/db.pl at admin.cgi line 28.Make sure they exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly.and that is the correct path. db.pl is chmod 755 also. Anyone else have this error before? It's a AMD Athlon server (maybe I should have gone $50 more for the intel)

Double check your paths and CHMODs. Everything that is a .db or .pl etc needs to be set to 666, and .cgi files need to be set to 755. That will be the reason why the admin panel is giving you this error. Its normally down to typos in links.cfg

I had everything in the admin dir 755, now only cgi's are 755, all other files are 666. But that still didn't fix anything. Network Solutions hasn't transferred over the new dns info, so i'm wondering if that could do it. I only used ip's in the links.cfg file though, so i don't know. I doubt that's the prob as this is an internal server error and it's pointing to the correct dir. I've installed this script 1000's of times too without a problem.

Can you post your links.cfg part where you defined the paths?

# PATH and URL of Admin CGI directory. No Trailing Slash.
$db_script_path = "/var/www/cgi-bin/links/admin";
$db_dir_url = "http://64.246.6.77/.../cgi-bin/links/admin";
# URL of User CGI directory. No Trailing Slash.
$db_cgi_url = "http://64.246.6.77/~admin2/cgi-bin";
# PATH and URL of Pages to be built. No Trailing Slash.
$build_root_path = "/var/www/html/bands";
$build_root_url = "http://64.246.6.77/~admin2/bands";
this is what i'm working with so far as the dns hasn't been transferred.

Ok, those paths still don't look right. Also, going to http://64.246.6.77/~admin2/cgi-bin does NOT work, however http://64.246.6.77/~admin2/ DOES! This leads me to think that your cgi-bin does not actually exist
Try also uploading the attached script to your server, CHMOD to 755, and then run via your browser. Post the results here if possible.

yeah...it's really bizzarre. http://64.246.6.77/~admin2/cgi-bin[/url] doesnt work for me either, but http://64.246.6.77/~admin2/cgi-bin/links produces a 403 error which sorta proves the dir exists. Also I didn't see a attachment. I might be blind as i've now been up 28 hours straight.

Look like your path is actually - /home/virtual/admin2/var/www/ Try it and see what happens.
