Too many trees in the Wood !
Help !

Got this great script working . . . BUT . .

How do you easily add a user or new user
for a new database from the script rather
than having to telnet in etc.

I have tried lots of different ways, been to
mysql.com and other sites . . . hair now being
pulled out in desperation.

INFO. using latest mqsyl on a raq4 (red hat) etc

Any help appreciated ! Chris

You can't create a new user using MySQLMan....you have to do that by logging in mysql using telnet/ssh

You can doing it using a third party script. But MySQLman does not offer this feature. I know that my hosting provider has this feature in their web panel, so there must be an easy way to do it.

If you're familiar with Perl, read the MySQL documentation and write your own code. Shouldn't be more than a few lines long.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific. Remember to be very careful as to who can access this script, too. There are a few security problems concerned with this approach.
